Online education system is becoming a norm now, which was totally uncommon few years back in Bangladesh. This Online Education System (OES) not just made the education system easier, but also having impact on environment!
Not very much earlier, Bangladesh has been hit hard by corona pandemic and the education system nearly collapsed. Nearly 18 months schools remained closed and 40 millions of students future was jeopardised.
Online Education has already took the advantage of the pandemic and supported students with ease. Because of the system, using of papers reduced significantly and paper productions also reduced by a big margin. That saw a negative number in deforestation.
A survey was conducted by 90 DEGREE Education which showed how much a normal student use paper for different purposes and according to them, the usage of paper was double of their mentioned data. The survey was conducted between students of class 9-12 and 20 students participated. You can find the data here.
